General Purpose

Claude Code's built-in generalist — the adventurer you send when the quest doesn't map cleanly onto any specialist on the roster.

Handles complex, multi-step tasks end-to-end: researching unfamiliar questions, hunting for code when the first few searches might miss, and executing work that spans several tools. Runs on whatever model the session runs on (inherit).

Doctrine

• Default dispatch target when no named agent matches.
• Full tool access — research, edit, execute.
• Useful for keyword/file hunts where the right match may take several attempts.
